Your pool coping makes a lovely distinction between your heated spa and cool, sparkling pool. It’s also an important part of your pool’s safety and maintenance – it provides a safe, non-skid surface so that swimmers do not fall onto the concrete or into the water. Coping also assists the drainage system by making any water flow away from the pool and into the deck drains. Materials such as flagstone, brick, or synthetic decking can be used for repairing or replacing the coping on your pool.
At La Jolla Pool Services, we have certified coping repair and replacement specialists. Our bonded teams will quickly repair damaged flagstones and tiles, matching your existing pool deck. Coping involves mounting onto the bond beam, and it covers the edges while hiding the steel portions of the pool’s walls in an aesthetically pleasing manner.
Repairing your pool coping includes removing all old, work, and damaged coverings. We then clean the structure thoroughly and reapply state-of-the-art sealant and adhesive to properly secure the new pieces. Once we’ve attached the new coverings, we then re-color the grout for a perfect finish. We can also replace your current copping entirely, with a finish of your choice. Common materials include:
- Concrete
- Pavers
- Natural Stones (fieldstone, limestone, granite)
- Brick
